PSAI announces early exit from Muara

PSA Muara Container Terminal Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of PSA International, has decided to hand back operations at the Muara Container Terminal (MCT) to the Government of Brunei, with effect from April 1, 2007. KCT sees 10% jump in volumes

Gulftainer’s Khorfakkan Container Terminal (KCT) in Sharjah handled nearly 10% more containers in January 2007 than in the same month in 2006. Volumes grew thanks to increased demand for access to the UAE’s main centres together with a greater number of ships calling at the terminal, which is linked by a customs-bonded mini-bridge to Sharjah Inland Container Depot. PSAI to develop Vietnam container port

SP-PSA International Port Co Ltd (SP-PSA) – a joint venture between Saigon Port and PSA Vietnam Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PSA International Pte Ltd (PSAI) – has been granted an investment license to develop a new container port in Vung Tau province in Vietnam. Oman terminal opens for business

Oman International Container Terminal (OICT) at the Port of Sohar celebrated the grand opening of its Terminal B, Phase I on January 28, 2007. Konecranes wins repeat orders in Africa

Konecranes has received three significant orders for reachstackers from repeat customers in Africa. It will supply six new units to the Namibian Port Authorities (NPA), three to the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) and four to Meridian Ports Services Ltd (MPS) in Ghana. The total value of the orders amounts to €5.5m, and the equipment is due for delivery in spring 2007. Read More »
