DP World London Gateway has started construction of the second and final phase of its logistics centre.
The project’s second phase, which will be available for occupation from May 2017, includes building 180,000 sq ft of cross-dock distribution warehousing and office space.
Of this, 155,000 sq ft will be used for warehouse accommodation, 10,000 sq ft for conjoined office space and a separate 15,000 sq ft for office space available for occupation.
Following completion of phase two, DP World London Gateway Logistics Centre will have a total of 387,000 sq ft of space, which includes 207,000 sq ft of warehouse and office space completed in early 2015 as part of the project’s first phase.
The logistics park’s development director Oliver Treneman said: “DP World London Gateway Port is witnessing exponential growth, with a number of new deep-sea shipping services to new markets, so now is a great time to capitalise on available space at the Logistics Park and engage with us to create even more value in the supply chain.”
