Finnish equipment manufacturer Kalmar has reported a 2% year-on-year drop to €1.72bn (US$1.8bn) in the orders received last year.
However, the company recorded an 11% year-on-year rise to €440m (US$469m) in orders received during the fourth quarter attributable to a good demand in the EMEA region.
Kalmar’s sales were up 2% from €1.67bn (US$1.78bn) in 2015 to €1.7bn (US$1.8bn) last year, boosted by a 2% increase in the last quarter of the year, while the company’s order book went up by 3% to €900m (US$960m) at the end of 2016.
