Goteborg signs deal with Carmen Systems
The agreement will last three years and encompasses three stages: the centralized planning of staff and equipment around an automated planning process, increasing efficiency of existing systems and reorganization of staff, including a preferential bidding system and crew rostering.
The Port of Goteborg handles 25% of all Swedish trade. It handled 788,000 containers in 2005, most of which was oil.
Carmen Systems AB develops markets and offers optimization services to clients as varied as British Airways, Air France-KLM, Singapore Airlines, Deutsche Bahn and Lufthansa.
