Liverpool receives second transatlantic service
The terminal to be utilised at Liverpool is its Seaforth one which in recent times has seen its growth rise rapidly to 600,000 teu.
The first transatlantic service was announced a mere month ago, and will see the Mediterranean Shipping Company running a weekly service out of Liverpool to Canada.
Liverpool already handles more US and Canada trade than any other UK port and this new service confirms Liverpool as the leading gateway port for container trade with North America.
