US Could annul P&O/Dubai Ports Deal

The reason behind concerns was enunciated by Representative Pete King, who explained that the company is coming out of a country that has a strong Al Qaeda presence, and that although Dubai has become an ally against terrorism, port security is an identified weakness in the US and that the transfer of control of two major US facilities neds to be examined more closely.

Current worries have been compounded by reports that Dubai has been allowing illegal shipments into Iran, and a report from the Homeland Security Department on the country has been ordered.
