US Ports plan to accommodate Chinese growth in imports

Chinese trade will come to represent over half of all of US imports, yet the current infrastructure is not able to withstand such an onslaught.

To this end port authorities are organising conferences to discuss what to expect within the next ten years. Representatives from companies which make products in China to ship into the US will speak about what is happening and what changes need to be made to accommodate the growth.
