Crowley enhances reefer fleet

According to Crowley chairman, president and CEO Tom Crowley Jr, the company is investing to help its customers succeed with their perishables shipments. “Refrigerated cargo is a large part of our business in both Central America and the Caribbean,” he said. “Providing customers with clean, modern and reliable equipment is essential.”

All 457 refrigerated containers were manufactured in China by Maersk Container Industries. Half are equipped with ThermoKing refrigeration units and half with Carrier units. Fifty of the new generator sets are a nose-mount design and the rest a chassis-mount underslung design, in order to accommodate the various needs of shippers.
