Load monitoring the Smart way

SMARTlift is an advanced safety system that warns the operator when a container is moved to the limits of the sidelifter’s safe ‘working envelope’. It then prevents him from moving the load further into an area where stability may be compromised.

The system allows operators to view load weights during operation and can also track daily lifts and lifted weights, providing an accurate history of activity, and alerts the operator when a service is due. It also gives an accurate weight reading on the LCD screen when loading containers, allowing operators to identify overweight or heavy boxes.

The system’s ‘intelligent’ load monitoring function controls all the sidelifter’s hydraulic and electric operations. It checks that its stabilisers are touching the ground before allowing the crane arms to function, and will prevent the module from traversing when stabiliser legs are deployed.
