Gottwald names Dobner as new CEO

The appointment follows the listing of Demag Cranes AG as Prime Standard at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The newly formed industrial group has three segments: Industrial Cranes, Port Technology and Services. In addition to being Gottwald’s new CEO, Dr Dobner is also executive director of the Port Technology group segment.

Dr Dobner has more than ten years’ experience as a research engineer and has extensive knowledge of the port business. He completed a PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Engineering and Applied Science in Aachen, and joined Gottwald in 1996. He was named head of systems development in 1998 and CTO in July 2004.

“As new CEO of Gottwald I am fully aware of my responsibilities towards our shareholders, customers, associates and employees,” said Dr Dobner. “My clear target is to further expand and develop our technological and market leadership.”
