The Istanbul office will expand to have more than 15 staff by the end of 2006, and will work on projects together with Cat Logic teams in other European countries. Besides working directly for customers, the Turkish team will also carry out so-called ‘near-shore’ development for the entire Cat Logic group.
More companies are shifting to intermodal transport as they seek to cut costs and minimise congestion. This of course creates more complex planning and execution and the need for more complex IT solutions. “We have seen a sharp increase in demand for intermodal software this year and we expect this trend to continue,” said Hans Kettering, CEO of Cat Logic.
