The ALA is a prestigious event which celebrates excellence, innovation and efficiency across Asia’s logistics industries. The Container Terminal of the Year award was made to PSA because of the costs of its services, level of customer service, standard of facilities, overall efficiency, frequency of liner calls, use of IT and its launch/upgrade of services over the past 12 months.
Eddie Teh, group CEO of PSA International, said: “This award bears testimony to PSA’s efforts in meeting our customers’ ever-changing needs. We wish to thank all of our customers for their continuing support and partnership. Our success is underpinned by the considerable investments we have made in expanding our facilities, the increase in the productivity and quality of our services, and the development of our world-class workers.”
The ALA awards, which have been running annually since 2002, are organised by the UK-based T&F Informa Group, publisher of Lloyd’s List and Lloyd’s Freight Transport Buyer. The ceremony was held this year in the resort island of Sentosa in Singapore. The award was accepted on behalf of PSA by Oh Bee Lock, senior vice president (container terminals), Singapore Terminals.
