Polish terminal opts for Tideworks solution

The integrated terminal management suite will include Tideworks’ Mainsail Terminal Management System, Mainsail Online, Forecast, Spinnaker Planning Management System and Traffic Control products. It will use web-based applications to provide faster real-time communication between BCT and its customers.

The solution replaces the COCONS/MTLS system previously in use at the terminal, which has an annual handling capacity of 600,000 teu and a potential future capacity of 1.2m teu. BCT is owned by International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) of the Philippines.

“We chose Tideworks because they offered the best value to our clients and to BCT. Their applications will allow more and better interaction with present and future clients and at the same time speed up our processes throughout the terminal,” said Johannes de Jong, CEO of BCT.
