The CMA CGM Utrillo will be inserted between two consecutive fortnightly sailings of the current vessel sequence, providing weekly departures for a span of three weeks and then reverting to fortnightly. The addition of the Utrillo means that CMA CGM will be operating four of the seven vessels on the service. In the initial phase, both the French company and its partner Compagnie Maritime MARFRET will market slots on the vessel.
“This upgrading of line frequency is the first stage of a plan to progressively improve the service through an increased number of sailings per annum, and responds to customer demand for a more frequent and fixed-day direct service,” said Jean-Louis Bellencourt, senior manager at Europe-Oceania Lines.
