Joint venture to develop Vietnamese port

Vinalines, Quang Ninh Port and SSA Marine have signed an agreement in principle to establish a joint venture company to develop and operate container terminals at Cai Lan Port, in Quang Ninh Province in Vietnam. Rail enhancements for Tacoma

The Port of Tacoma has completed two important rail projects in the Tacoma Tideflats. According to Jeannie Beckett, senior director of intermodal transportation, the US$10.5m capital project will increase rail throughput velocity at two key access points for the port’s terminals, Bullfrog Junction and Chilcote Junction. Gulftainer sets up logistics JV in Pakistan

Gulftainer Co. Ltd. of Sharjah and the Pak Shaheen Group, based in Karachi, are to set up a joint venture company focusing on inland logistics and transportation in Pakistan. VPA plans major rail relocation project

The Virginia Port Authority (VPA) is taking the lead in a project aimed at eliminating 14 grade rail crossings in neighbourhoods adjacent to its marine terminals. The Median Rail Relocation Project will also improve rail service at the Maersk/APM marine terminal currently under construction in Portsmouth and the future VPA Craney Island marine terminal.
