Halifax sees growth in auto traffic

The vessel, owned and operated by Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, has the capacity to carry the equivalent of over 6,000 cars. It discharged one-third of the units it as transporting at Autoport Limited in Dartmouth.

Halifax is the only Canadian marine autoport facility of its kind, and has become a key entry port for vehicles into North American consumer markets. Last year the Autoport saw an increase of 8% in ro-ro traffic.
