The acquisition will enable Railion to expand its comprehensive range of transport services, with BRS in future focusing on providing single freight car cross-border transport services. The company believes that BRS is an ideal supplement to the successful block train transport services partnership it already has with BLS Cargo, which is to be intensified this year.
“I can easily imagine including BLS Cargo as a co-partner of BRS, as this will allow us to expand the range of joint services we provide with our successful transit partner and significantly increase our overall impact,” said Railion CEO Dr Klaus Kremper.
