Founded in 1985, Gemini has a fleet of 250 company-owned tractors and owner-operators along with 400 trailers. Headquartered in Edison, New Jersey, it has terminal locations in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Dallas and New Jersey.
Specialising in the transport of food and beverages, pharmaceuticals and healthcare products, Gemini offers a range of temperature-controlled freight services, including LTL consolidation and distribution, full truckload carrier capabilities, brokerage and warehousing. It also has specialised capabilities and qualifications to transport alcohol-based and other regulated products.
“The acquisition of Gemini is the first component in our strategy to create a national and vertically integrated competitor in temperature-controlled transportation and logistics with a significant competitive advantage in a highly fragmented segment of the industry,” said Fenway Partners managing director Aron Schwartz.
