GreenCarrier acquires Corneel Geerts

The Corneel Geerts operation in Sweden has an annual turnover of approximately SKr40m and operates trailer services to and from the Benelux countries, France and the UK. In the past 12 months it has handled around 10,000 full loads.

According to Niklas Olsson, managing director of GreenCarrier Scandinavia AB, this move will broaden the range of services that GreenCarrier can offer its customers. “With the acquisition, we will immediately gain a strong foothold in parts of Europe where previously we were only a minor player. We have signed an agency agreement with Corneel Geerts in Belgium and we intend to build upon the existing business in a smooth and progressive way,” he said.

“As part of the Bjork.Eklund Group, GreenCarrier has access to a large customer base and strong IT capabilities. We are confident that our traffic volumes on these new routes will develop rapidly.”
