Launch no 8 for Evergreen S-series

Due for delivery in June 2007, the ship is scheduled to enter service on the Transpacific Southwest (TPS) service linking Southern China, Hong Kong and Taiwan with the West Coast of North America.

The Evergreen Group is approaching the end of a shipbuilding programme that involves 18 large post-Panamax container ships. Eight 8,073 teu C-series ships are already in service and the S-series will be completed in 2008.

The S-series vessels are built to standards that exceed all national and international regulations regarding environmental protection. Ever Superb, the fifth in the series to enter service, was awarded Ship of the Year 2006 by Lloyd’s List Maritime Asia.
