Constantza records 1m teu for 2006

For all cargo, Romania’s maritime ports handled a total tonnage of 57,131,628 tonnes for the year, a fall of 5% from 2005. A large part of this was accounted for by maritime transit traffic, which rose an impressive 89% to nearly 9m tonnes. River traffic increased by a more modest 1.23%, to 3.9m tonnes.
