Xavier Moliné, general director of TCB Railway Transport, said: “The launch of this rail connection route between Barcelona and Zaragoza provides a logistics service giving considerable added value for operators who need a constant connection between both logistics platforms.”
At present the company operates two weekly services between Barcelona and the Azuqueca de Henares Dry Port, but it plans to increase this service with a third train in the near future.
TCB Railway Transport began operations last October, with the aim of diversifying the group’s logistics business with a port-to-port container rail service. One of its main objectives is to expand the hinterland of the Port of Barcelona and its rail connections with the Iberian peninsula and Southern and Central Europe.
