Due for delivery in January 2008, Ever Salute is scheduled to join one of Evergreen Line’s trans-Pacific services. The first eight vessels are now operating on the company’s new China Europe Shuttle (CES), which offers a fast link between Asia and northern Europe, while the ninth vessel, Ever Safety, is scheduled for delivery in October and will also enter the trans-Pacific trade.
The S-series ships have won global recognition for their advanced design features, being built to standards that meet and often exceed all national and international regulations regarding environmental protection. With an overall length of 300 m and a beam of 42.8 m, they are able to carry containers 17 rows across on deck and 15 rows across below deck. They have a deadweight of 78,700 tonnes on a service draught of 14.2 m, and each is fitted with 839 reefer plugs.
