Guidelok is intended for vertical energy chain applications with large lifting heights in racking units, elevators, inclined elevators and materials-handling equipment. Compact and easy to install, also as a retrofit system, it makes energy and data transfer safe in goods warehouses, deep-freeze storage, windpower plants an crane systems, according to the company.
Whereas previously the suspended energy chain was routed in an enclosed groove system or vertically guided using other enclosed solutions, there is no longer any need for expensive casing: thanks to its clever design, the energy chain traps itself in the Guidelok system.
The chain is suspended in a stainless steel or galvanised steel guide channel. Two rocker arms in the groove – push button and catch button – are automatically triggered by the chain to fix it in place. The rocker arms form a positive offset locking mechanism, which not only ensures operational safety, but also significantly reduces noise, thanks to the smooth running of the chain.
