The system consists of a central operating and electronic unit, with force transducers for load measurement and an inclination sensor that measures the crane arm angle. The force transducers are available in different configurations, allowing easy integration into the crane design. All force transducers are equipped with tecsis’ thin-film sensors, which offer excellent creep properties, high precision and reliability. The miniaturised design of the measurement cell – the diameter is only 7 mm – allows the sensor to be positioned directly into the force flow of the system.
Values from the connected sensors are displayed via the central operating unit. When critical values are reached, the system immediately triggers pre-defined safety functions and activates optical and acoustic signals. The user interface is very simple, and reduces the settling-in period for the crane operator.
The system comes with preconfigured software, which indicates the system’s operating status as soon as the sensors are connected. Setting parameters and analysis of the system can be done easily with the user-friendly configuration software, via a laptop. The system performs regular auto-check routines, guaranteeing operational reliability and safety, according to tecsis.
