Kongsberg Maritime acquires GlobalSim

With over 2,500 employees in 20 different countries, Norway-based Kongsberg Maritime is the market leader in maritime dynamic positioning systems, automation and surveillance systems, oil and gas process automation, satellite navigation and hydroacoustics. Important market segments include merchant marine, oil and gas, offshore and sub-sea, fishery and fishery research, marine information technology, simulation and process automation. The company is a division of the Kongsberg Group, listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

GlobalSim, located in Draper, Utah, is a world leader in the development of advanced simulation systems and solutions. The company offers MasterLiftT simulators for training crane and material handling operators, and a wide variety of custom simulation programs for aviation, maritime, military, driving and other commercial applications.
