Ms Lim beat off competition from seven senior corporate and HR leaders from other global companies such as Microsoft, Citibank, Barclays Capital, DHL Logistics and Standard Chartered Bank. All eight finalists had been nominated by independent industry players for “excellence in leading and matching the business interests of the organisation to its workforce needs, skills, relevance and overall effectiveness”.
Specific judging criteria included strategic thinking and planning, business sensitivity and savvy, effectiveness of communication, innovation and being a leader of organisational improvement and champion of change.
“I am very pleased with winning such a prestigious award,” said Ms Lim. “I believe PSA’s story impressed the judges. It’s a tale of a Singapore icon on a transformational journey to become a global multinational company. I share this award with the leaders, employees and unions of PSA around the world.”
