Sales of Kalmar E-One+ RTGs in Vietnam have been strong. Saigon Newport Company has ordered a total of 20 RTGs for Phase I of its Tan Cang-Cai Mep International Container Terminal, currently under construction on the Thi Vai River just outside Ho Chi Minh City. These 6+1 wide and 1-over-5 high units will be equipped with Kalmar’s container position verification system, Smartpath, and delivery is scheduled by November 2008.

Another six E-One+ RTGs have been ordered by LCMT Company Ltd of Thailand. The 6+1 wide and 1-over-6 high units will feature Bromma spreaders, Kalmar’s Smartrail technology and Remote Machine Interface (RMI). The cranes, due to be delivered by March 2009, form part of LCMT’s plans to expand its terminal operations at the Port of Laem Chabang.
Finally, Hanjin Shipping – South Korea’s largest shipping company –
