In total, the port handled 55.8m tonnes of cargo (51.84m tonnes containerised cargo, 3.17m tonnes liquid bulk, 0.74m tonnes cement and 0.0057m tonnes general cargo) which also represented a landmark by breaking through the 50m tonnes barrier for the first time – a growth of 24.42% over the previous year.
