Portroe has implemented Tideworks’ complete, integrated suite of software solutions, which includes Mainsail Terminal Management System, Mainsail Online, Spinnaker Planning Management System, Traffic Control and Forecast. Tideworks’ gate operating system, GateVision, will be fully deployed later this year. The suite is designed to reduce overall operating costs and increase Portroe’s productivity by enhancing container visibility and improving inventory control and asset management.
“The implementation of Tideworks’ suite of container terminal products has allowed us to take a quantum leap in how we manage our resources and deliver a top-quality service to our customers. Critically, it has also allowed us to reduce operating costs. We are now hugely dependent on Tideworks’ systems and have great confidence in their round-the-clock care and applications support,” said Eamonn O’Reilly, CEO of Portroe.
The implementation of Tideworks’ suite of software solutions will help Portroe as it grows from its previous volume of 200,000 teu per year towards a planned capacity of 500,000 teu over the coming years. Tideworks has worked closely with other technology and equipment vendors on this project, such as crane manufacturer Liebherr, to ensure complete systems integration. The implementation was executed through a combination of resources at Tideworks’ European headquarters in Spijkenisse (Rotterdam), Netherlands, and its corporate headquarters in Seattle.
