The New World Alliance (TNWA) and Grand Alliance members are to start a new weekly common port joint-service from Asia to the Black Sea this month (June), replacing the previous slot exchange agreement on their respective fortnightly services operated since February this year.

New World and Grand Alliance start joint Black Sea service

TNWA will provide three of the eight 8,000 TEU vessels deployed on the service, with Grand Alliance providing the remaining five. Hanjin and UASC will continue to participate as slot charterers.

Port rotation will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Suez, Istanbul, Constanza, Odessa, Constanza, Istanbul, Damietta, Suez, Jeddah, Singapore, Shanghai.
