PSAI and Evergreen win AFSCA accolades

PSA International Pte Ltd (PSAI) won the ‘Best Global Container Terminal Operating Company’ for the fourth consecutive year at the 22nd Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA) ceremony held in Singapore in late April. Westerlund welcomes two Liebherr MHCs

The Westerlund Group, the stevedore and terminal operator based in Antwerp, Belgium, has taken delivery of two new Liebherr mobile harbour cranes, an LHM 400 and an LHM 500 model. The cranes, which weigh approximately 450 tonnes each, were transported by barge and tug from Liebherr-Werk Rostock and were installed at the Westerlund group’s main terminal on the left bank of the River Scheldt at the end of April. Container shipping company APL of Germany has appointed Volker Blöck as its new managing director for Germany and Central Europe. Kalmar Industries has launched a second version of its Remote Machine Interface (RMI), a tool for remote machine monitoring, maintenance tasking and reporting which can be used with all Kalmar equipment. Eredene to invest in Indian logistics park

Eredene Capital PLC, a UK-based investor in Indian infrastructure and real estate, is to invest an estimated Rps210m (£2.6m) in a new logistics park at Kalinganagar in the State of Orissa in eastern India.
