There was growth in all the international markets targeted by the group, across the energy, transport and raw materials sectors, with international business accounting for almost 50% of group turnover. Customers included DPWorld Jeddah, Bombardier, SNCF and Caterpillar.
At the end of June, current orders and orders on the books amounted to a total value of €15.06m, following the group’s sales efforts at a number of specialist international trade fairs over the preceding six months. All of these orders will be delivered and invoiced by the end of the current financial year.
“The first half of 2008 shows the same pattern of growth observed in 2007 and, taking account of the interval required for current orders, more significant invoicing in the coming second half of the year. We are seeing no slowdown in demand in the international market niches where we have positioned our services. By setting the funding of current projects for the end of September, we should be able to see repeat growth of three figures,” said Christophe Gaussin, group chairman.
