Ports America Baltimore to open packaging facility

Located at Dundalk Marine Terminal facility in the Port of Baltimore, and accessed directly by railroad and all motor carriers, the facility will provide a full range of specialised on-dock packing and shipping services for ocean-going international breakbulk, containerised and project freight, bound for any destination in the world. Its services will include packaging, crating, transportation coordination, warehousing, storage and container operations.

Mark Montgomery, senior vice president East Coast operations, commented: “The addition of Ports America Packaging adds a new dimension to our ability to handle our customers’ diverse needs even more fully.”

The facility consists of 95 acres of lighted outside storage, 112,000 sq ft of warehouse space, container platform, fenced property, over-weight container handling, over-dimensional and over-weight cargo handling, heavy-lift crane availability, dry-sprinkler system, stretch- and shrink-wrap services, 24-hour security surveillance, forklifts with SWL up to 52,000 lb and four-point top-loading SWL to 80,000 lb.
