New container crane orders for Liebherr

The cranes will each have a waterside outreach of 35 m, a span of 22 m and a landside backreach of 12 m. The height under the spreader is 28 m, while the SWL is 45 tonnes under the spreader and 60 tonnes under the hookbeam. The units will be fitted with Liebherr AC crane drives.

Liebherr will also supply two super post-Panamax container handling cranes to Luka Koper at Slovenia’s Port of Koper. Again, the cranes are due for delivery in the third quarter of 2009, and will be transported fully erect to the facility at the port’s Deep Water Container Terminal. These cranes are in addition to two similar models previously ordered, bringing the number of Liebherr cranes on order for Luka Koper to four.

These cranes have an outreach of 51 m, a rail span of 30 m and a backreach of 15 m. The lift height under the telescopic spreader is 36 m, with a total hoisting height of 50 m. They will be equipped with Liebherr’s Visuscan crane management system.
