Rukert, a privately-owned operator, specialises in the handling of metals, ores, fertilisers, alloys and other dry bulk and breakbulk cargoes. Tideworks will deploy the Genoa Breakbulk Management System suite of products designed to manage all aspects of a multi-purpose terminal business, including all of Rukert’s cargo tracking needs, storage, warehousing and billing. In addition, Rukert will use Genoa Online to provide customers with internet access to inventory information, delivery orders and various reporting tools.
“We’re pleased and excited to be working with Tideworks, as they’ve been extremely responsive to our needs,” said John Coulter, president of Rukert Terminals Corporation. “Their industry-leading, cost-effective and flexible multi-purpose terminal solutions fit hand-in-hand with Rukert’s operational initiatives. Tideworks’ experience and proven track record will afford us a nearly seamless implementation, and we’re on target for a Q1 2009 roll-out of the Genoa system.”
As part of its services offering, Tideworks will specify the hardware and networking requirements to run the Tideworks software at peak efficiency; assist with third-party software procurement; identify and develop any software customisation needed to meet Rukert’s requirements; provide user training and go-live support; and supply ongoing maintenance and technical support.
