The CSA’s Port of the Year competition was established to encourage and promote port development and efficient port operations. It recognises ports that have sustained a high level of efficiency while maintaining effective programs for development of human resources and systems. The competition evaluates a port’s overall efficiency and dependability and measures implemented to achieve higher levels of productivity, growth and development.
The Guadeloupe Port Authority was a first-time winner of the Multi-Purpose Terminal Award. A long standing CSA member, Guadeloupe has sustained steady development in its port and maritime sector over the years. Kingston Container Terminal was honoured as the region’s Best Container Terminal for the second time since 2003. The facility is owned by the Port Authority of Jamaica and operated under a lease agreement by APM Terminals
