In a response to the deteriorating trading environment MSC Company is suspending its Tiger Service and is withdrawing nine vessels of 6,500 teu capacity with immediate effect and as a result will make the following changes to the remaining service network between the Far East and Europe/Mediterranean:

MSC suspends the Tiger Service

Phoenix Service = 10 ships of 6,500 teu

The new port rotation for the Phoenix Service will be Qingdao, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Nansha, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jeddah, Suez Canal, Beirut, Istanbul, Trieste, Gioia Tauro, Suez Canal, Jeddah, Singapore and Qingdao.

Jade Service = 9 ships of 9,500 to 11,500 teu

The new port rotation for the Jade Service will be Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Yantai, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Suez Canal, Piraeus, Gioia Tauro (Imports), Valencia, Goia Tauro (Exports), Suez Canal, Salalah, Singapore and Busan.

Silk Service = 10 ships of 9,500 teu

The new port rotation for rotation for the Silk Service will be Xingang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Yantai, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Salalah, Suez Canal, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Suez Canal, Jebel Ali, Singapore and Hong Kong,

Dragon Service = 11 ships of 8,100 teu

The new port rotation for the Dragon Service will be Dalian, Xingang, Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Fuzhou, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Salalah, Suez Canal, Gioia Tauro, Naples, La Spezia, Marseille-Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, Suez Canal, Jeddah, Salalah, Jebel Ali, Singapore, Chiwan, Hong Kong and Dalian.

Lion Service = 10 ships of 6,500 to 8,100 teu

The rotation for the Lion service will remain unchanged, i.e. Busan, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Suez Canal, Sines, Le Havre, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Suez Canal, Singapore, Chiwan and Busan.

According to the company this new set up will reduce MSC weekly space availability on the route Asia to Europe/Mediterranean by 2,000 teu.
