The terminal will create up to 40 new jobs, have an annual cargo handling capacity of around 25,000 containers and will serve customers in the chemical, food and mineral industry.
Terminal cargo will be delivered and collected by train, truck and/or barge from the neighboring DUSS and DeCeTe terminals.
“Up to three platforms for the transfer to and from containers, railcar hoppers and silo trucks will ensure that dry bulk cargo is being transferred and released into the comprehensive transport network of duisport. The hub will also offer value added services such as packaging, de-bagging and warehousing,” said Koert van Wissen, InterBulk Group’s CEO.
