Contract extensions for Colombian ports

The Colombian national government has extended by 20 years the operating concessions it granted in 1993 to the Sociedades Portuarias (Port Corporations) of Buenaventura, Santa Marta and Barranquilla. Among other things, the decision will lead to millions of dollars of investments in these ports by 2033. The original agreements were due to end in 2013. The Advisory Board of Gottwald Port Technology GmbH has expanded its executive management team with the appointment of Dr. Robert Wassmer its chief executive officer, with effect from 1 June 2008. RAM software smashes 1m teu target

Real Asset Management plc (RAM) has increased the volume of containers managed worldwide by its software to almost 1.4m teu, up from 500,000 teu at the start of 2007. ICTSI reports first-quarter income up 29%

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) posted revenue from port operations of P4,506m for the quarter ending March 31, 2008 and net income attributable to equity holders of P799m. Revenues for the quarter grew 45% from P3,118 million in the same period last year, while net income attributable to equity holders improved by 29%. Read More »
