The first call was by the 6,500 teu ‘CMA-CGM BALZAC’ yesterday (Tuesday 10 February) en-route to ports in South-East Asia, China and Korea from a range of Mediterranean ports.

Gulftainer group director and general manager, Peter Richards commented, “Despite the rather downbeat atmosphere in the worldwide economy at present, we are delighted that CMA-CGM has further enhanced its portfolio of services at KCT by adding the Mediterranean/Far East link. This will certainly not only benefit the line, but also add yet more opportunities for the traders of the UAE to use Khorfakkan”.
