Last SL unit rolls off Thermo King production line

Since the introduction of the SL range, Thermo King has striven to develop the next generation of temperature control systems. The SLX range, launched in 2008 to build on the market-leading SL range, has delivered significant savings on fuel consumption, together with high performance and low operating noise, said the company.

Engine operating speeds have been reduced, but with no loss in cooling capacity or airflow. Slower engine speeds give a quieter engine which uses less fuel, and prolongs the life of moving parts. Early indications and feedback from operators and end-users show that the SLX range looks set to become even more successful than its predecessor, concluded Thermo King.
