South African terminals closing on Election Day
Terminals would cease operations at 06:00 hrs Wednesday, April 22and reopen at 06:00 hrs Thursday, April 23rd, 2009.
According to Solly Letsoalo, chief of operations, Transnet fully supports the right of every South African – including its employees – to cast a vote in this very important election. As such, all TPT staff will be expected to exercise this right on the day, he said.
