Algeciras and Tanger Med to make Strait link more efficient

A recent delegation of more than 30 Algeciras Port operatives and businessmen from the ro-ro traffic sector held a meeting with Tanger Med representatives to specify objectives to make cargo exchanges between both sides of the Strait the most efficient.

Since last November, the ports of Algeciras and Tanger Med have been operating four daily sailings in both directions, expanding the already extensive services covering the existing sea-links between Algeciras and Tangiers City ports. Current maritime services between the Port of Algeciras Bay and various Moroccan locations handle more than 50% of the total international trade exchange between Spain and Morocco.
