Soren Karas, head of Maersk Line for the South China cluster, said, “Maersk Line sees Da Chan Bay as an important piece in the puzzle in securing the most comprehensive port coverage in the region and offering our clients a selection of first rate services that are tailored to their needs”.
“This is our second service at Da Chan Bay Terminal One, the first starting in February. We believe this increases the value proposition of the Maersk Line service offerings in South China,” Karas added.
Welcoming the service Andrew Milliken, chief executive of the port, said, “Da Chan Bay Terminal One is the newest container terminal in Shenzhen and is strategically-located to enjoy unparallel connectivity to cargo catchment areas in both western and eastern PRD”.
