Safety system for port container handling equipment

The system comprises a central electronic unit and transducers which are integrated at different positions on the crane such as the tecsis type F5308 load pins. Due to their design they can be integrated directly into the crane, replacing for example, an existing bolt in fork bearings.

The force transducers are equipped with tecsis thin-film sensors which ensure excellent creep properties, high precision and reliability. The load pins fulfil industrial protection class IP69k and are optional available as ATEX version for explosive environments. Therefore tecsis has the right products for use under harsh conditions.

The hardware and software of the central unit has a modular design and it can be configured and put into operation with PC software. Configuration is also possible with an optional keypad and the build-in text display.
