The briefing will be opened by HE Sheikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa, chairman of the General Organisation of Sea Ports in Bahrain (GOP) as well as bringing together economists and business leaders interested in the region.
The seminar, supported by UKTI, Arab-British Chamber of Commerce and The Middle East Association from the UK, will feature speakers from the General Organisation of Sea Ports, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Economic Development Board of Bahrain, APM Terminals Bahrain and Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard Co. (ASRY).
Saudi Arabia alone will be developing some US$5bn worth of new projects in construction, petrochemicals and new technology sectors: billions of dollars worth of projects are open to business in the Northern Gulf, Iraq and Iran and the Bahrain Gateway provides a an insight to these projects as well as providing a solution to accessing and testing these markets.
