Having completed the statutory negotiations that started in May, the permanent redundancies will be implemented at the end of the current vacation period in Finland; in addition 25 staff will retire in the near future, whilst negotiations are taking place regarding temporary layoffs.
Konecranes has already adjusted its capacity through various arrangements, including reducing the use of staffing agencies and temporary employment, as well as moving sub-contracting work back to in-house production.
Similar statutory negotiations within Konecranes Standard Lifting Corporation, which started in March this year, continue, whilst Konecranes Service Corporation completed its negotiations at the beginning of June.
