APL to expand its Los Angeles terminal

The proposed project involves an amendment to the existing lease between the Port of Los Angeles and APL for container operations at the 290-acre terminal on Terminal Island. The amendment would provide for the redevelopment and expansion of the existing container terminal by 56 acres, for an approximate total of 346 acres.

There will be a public scoping meeting to receive public comments on Wednesday, August 5, at 6 pm at the Port of Los Angeles Administration Building at 425 S Palos Verdes Street, in San Pedro. Simultaneous Spanish translation services will be provided.
