In the six months from this April to September, 51% of vessels recorded performances of over 30 MPH, with ten percent surpassing 35 MPH. Together with the local branches of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, the Docks are aiming to increase the overall number of vessels exceeding this 35 MPH mark.
Located along the banks of the Fraser River in Surrey, British Columbia, the facility is the largest facility of its kind on the west coast of North America, whilst Port Metro is the fourth largest tonnage port in the region.
